| Open Night for Fundraisers |
Tuam Cancer Care is holding an open night as a THANK YOU for all who have organised, participated or sponsored fundraising events on behalf of the Centre on Friday, 18th November 2011 between 6.00 and 9.00pm. There will be a tour of our Centre and a presentation of our services. Refreshments will be served on the night and all are welcome. |
| Glen Moggan Memorial Cup |
Tuam Cancer Care would like to extend our sincere thanks to Grace Moggan and Tuam Anglers Association who recently raised €220 in the Glen Moggan Memorial Cup Angling Competition. Thanks also to the Rustic Vaults Bar, Tuam for holding the event. |
| Skydive and Parachute Jump |
Tuam Cancer Care would like to extend our sincere thanks to Orla Connaughton, Kilallonty, Tuam who recently undertook a Charity Skydive on behalf of Skydive Ireland which raised €400. A big thanks also to Aishling Dunleavy who is to raise €1650 for a parachute jump which is soon to take place at Galway Airport. We would also like to express our graditude and acknowledge the achievement and efforts of both Aishling and Orla. |
Welcome to Tuam Cancer Care
When a person is diagnosed with cancer a journey begins to fight the disease at a medical level, requiring various treatments and interventions such as, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, x-rays, scans and frequent consultations with their Oncologist and Medical Team.
But a diagnosis of cancer often leads to a crisis of the mind and spirit as well as the body. This is an area where less resources are available and many individuals and their families often have difficulty finding the emotional and practical support they require. Tuam Cancer Care is a charitable organisation that offers this support in Tuam and the surrounding areas.
All services offered are free of charge and confidentiality is ensured.
