christmas-jumper-day-posterOn Friday 16th December we’re inviting all pupils from the schools in Tuam and surrounding areas, to take part in Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Tuam Cancer Care.

Everyone will be invited to wear their silliest, sparkliest or cosiest Christmas woollies and make a donation of €2. If a child doesn’t have a festive sweater, don’t worry – it’s easy to decorate a plain jumper with tinsel, baubles or homemade snowflakes.

Last year we raised over €5000. These funds have allowed us to continue to support people like

Paul
“There is a word that can stop us in our tracks or addle our brain and that word is “cancer”.
Staying positive is a battle you may encounter and sometimes our dearest wish, is a simple chat with somebody that understands how you are feeling.
When I arrived at this stage, I took a deep breath and pushed open the front door of Tuam Cancer Care centre. Throughout my life, I had never been a ‘team-player’, but very soon I realised, that I had been fortunate to meet a group of people that understand my state of mind. Gradually, with their kind assistance, I began to do battle with a more positive attitude.”

This year we are hoping to make Christmas Jumper Day bigger and better. We have attached our poster for you to display.

We’d really appreciate your help to make Christmas Jumper Day a huge success.

If your school would like to participate, please register online @ https://www.iregister.ie/v2/events/christmas-jumper-day-tuam-cancer-care or contact Eimear at fundraising@tuamcancercare.ie or call me on 093 28522.
