| For women who have undergone a mastectomy, we provide emotional and practical support. Our breast prosthesis service provides an individual and private fitting for a prosthesis, bra/lingerie or swimwear. A comprehensive range of the most up to date items for any woman who has had a mastectomy, segmentectomy or lumpectomy is available. Women who have undergone breast cancer surgery are entitled to their initial prosthesis and two bras free of charge. Information is also offered on any private health insurance or Medical Card queries. This free and confidential service is provided by Dr Zita Fitzpatrick, a Medical Practitionner and Post-Mastectomy Care Consultant. The service is ongoing, and by appointment (usually on a Wednesday or Thursday morning). |

Tuam Cancer Care is holding an open night as a THANK YOU for all who have organised, participated or sponsored fundraising events on behalf of the Centre on Friday, 18th November 2011 between 6.00 and 9.00pm. There will be a tour of our Centre and a presentation of our services. Refreshments will be served on the night and all are welcome. |
