| The Centre is managed by health care professionals experienced in cancer support, counselling and complementary therapies, and staffed by a team of professionally trained support volunteers. Having someone to listen to you is so important when you have a cancer diagnosis. We understand though, that sometimes it is difficult for people to express their feelings and problems with close family members, for fear of upsetting them. This is when it may help to talk to one of our Centre Support Volunteers who are trained in listening skills. Confidentiality is assured as all Support Volunteers sign a Code of Confidentiality. No appointment is necessary to use the Centre – just Drop-in. All services are offered free of charge. Finally, confidentiality is a cornerstone of the service and all who come to the Centre can feel secure in the knowledge that any information they share with the support volunteers or staff, will be treated with complete confidence. Opening hours for the Centre are as follows: |
