| Complimentary Therapies Research into the use of complimentary therapies for people with a cancer diagnosis, suggests that they can aid in the reduction of stress levels, improve coping skills and encourage a sense of well being. Tuam Cancer Care Centre is committed to providing a range of therapies, including massage, reflexology and reiki, which are known to produce a relaxation response. To provide this holistic service, we employ only fully qualified therapists whom we consider to also have strong empathic and caring qualities.··Our therapists are also bound by the Centre’s Code of Confidentiality. For further information on any of these therapies or to discuss which would be most suitable for your needs, contact the Centre Co-Coordinator who can arrange a meeting with one of our therapists. N.B. GP or Oncologist consent is required for all of the above before appointments can be scheduled.
