| Research into the use of complimentary therapies for people with a cancer diagnosis, suggests that they can aid in the reduction of stress levels, improve coping skills and encourage a sense of well being. Tuam Cancer Care Centre is committed to providing a range of therapies, including massage, reflexology and reiki, which are known to produce a relaxation response. To provide this holistic service, we employ only fully qualified therapists whom we consider to also have strong empathic and caring qualities. Our therapists are also bound by the Centre’s Code of Confidentiality. For further information on any of these therapies or to discuss which would be most suitable for your needs, contact the Centre Co-Coordinator who can arrange a meeting with one of our therapists. N.B. GP or Oncologist consent is required for all of the above before appointments can be scheduled. |

| Open Night for Fundraisers |
Tuam Cancer Care is holding an open night as a THANK YOU for all who have organised, participated or sponsored fundraising events on behalf of the Centre on Friday, 18th November 2011 between 6.00 and 9.00pm. There will be a tour of our Centre and a presentation of our services. Refreshments will be served on the night and all are welcome. |
| Glen Moggan Memorial Cup |
Tuam Cancer Care would like to extend our sincere thanks to Grace Moggan and Tuam Anglers Association who recently raised €220 in the Glen Moggan Memorial Cup Angling Competition. Thanks also to the Rustic Vaults Bar, Tuam for holding the event. |
| Skydive and Parachute Jump |
Tuam Cancer Care would like to extend our sincere thanks to Orla Connaughton, Kilallonty, Tuam who recently undertook a Charity Skydive on behalf of Skydive Ireland which raised €400.
