Yoga is a holistic healing system creating harmony and balance on all levels: body, mind, emotions and spirit. It encourages the development of the inner resources that help in dealing with a life-changing illness, promotes relaxation and leads to a greater sense of well-being through gentle exercises.
Gentle Armchair Yoga Sessions are held in the Centre on Wednesday mornings. These provide an opportunity for people with a cancer diagnosis to meet in a small group, support each other and afterward, share a cup of tea or coffee in a relaxed and confidential setting.
We also offer an eight week evening yoga class which is mat yoga (floor). Participants would need to have a good range of mobility as this yoga is mat yoga (floor) which involves much more movement.
