| Tuam Cancer Care holds ongoing Monthly Support Meetings for those who have lost a loved one to cancer. The death of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult experiences. The bereaved struggle with many intense and frightening emotions, including depression, anger and guilt. Often, they feel isolated and alone in their grief. Attending a group, where all have experienced the loss of a loved one, can lessen these feelings of isolation and provide a safe place to express some of the emotions that may be difficult to talk about, even with close friends and family. Our group is facilitated by a psychotherapist with experience in bereavement therapy. The only criteria for the support group is that you have lost a loved one to cancer and have been bereaved for over one year. Confidentiality is ensured. |
